Calvary has been working for some time to build a columbarium, which is a structure for the inurnment of cremains (human ashes). The 63-niche unit is essentially finished; we are awaiting completion of a few details and anticipate dedicating the chapel in February. Bishop Folts has determined the chapel will be named the Charlotte Augusta Memorial Chapel, or St. Augusta's for short. This is in honor of Charlotte Augusta Astor, for whom the original funds to build the cathedral were given. If you are interested in learning more about our columbarium, contact Deb Husby at treasurer@calvarycathedral.net
